| As of June 3, 2008 outside connections to the NIU network via Telnet (a non-secure protocol) will no longer be allowed. This is due to Port 23 being blocked at the edge and will impact systems such as MVS and Corn. To log on remotely you will first need to establish a secure connection using PPTP (recommended) or VPN, before beginning a Telnet session.
