Lists that do not have any membership restrictions can be subscribed to or unsubscribed from by sending an e-mail to the list. List members are then automatically issued a password that allows them to change additional list settings on the list members control page. The issued password is also used to access the private list archives, if available. The level of control and availability of archives is determined by the list administrator.
The list administrator may require additional confirmation of your e-mail address and/or approval for the subscription. Questions regarding membership requirements should be directed to the individual list administrators or moderators. You can contact a list administrator by sending an e-mail to ListName-owner@lists.niu.edu.
All lists have a list member and information page. This page can be reached from the List of Public Mailman Listservs or by visiting the list information page link contained in your subscription confirmation and/or listserv e-mails. Members can log in to change their list options or view private archives, if available. You can also request to have your password e-mailed to you if you have forgotten it or if you never received one. Please note: you must log in with the e-mail address that you are subscribed with.
