Changing RECVOL and WYLVOL

There are two fields, RECVOL and WYLVOL, in each user's ACF2 Logonid record which control the placement of important WYLBUR datasets. Specifically, RECVOL specifies the volume on which your Recovery datasets will be saved, and WYLVOL specifies the volume for your WYLIB and Wylbur MAIL datasets. Two WYLBUR macros, RECVOL and WYLVOL, have been created to change the respective fields in the user's Logonid record.

These macros are available as public macros. To use them you must first have done:

  • CALL FROM &PUBLIC.MACROS:CMDS

There is a short description of how to use it within each macro. You can change the suffix (the last three characters) of RECVOL and WYLVOL. You cannot change the first three characters of either volume. You must be logged on WYLBUR when you change RECVOL, and you must have already moved your WYLIB and MAIL datasets when you change WYLVOL.
