Blackberry Software Update

On November 26, the method of synching GroupWise email and calendars to Blackberry devices changed. A new application must be installed on the phone for secure delivery of mail, address books, and calendars to Blackberry devices.

The monthly charge to the authorizing departments for each Blackberry will drop from $18 per month to $10 per month. This charge reflects the licensing costs of the software.  All other phones will continue to be supported free of charge as there are no license fees associated with them.

Users should bring their devices to the Contact Center (TS 114) to have the new software installed. The monthly BlackBerry fee charged to the department will be adjusted at that time.
